20th Century Music wrote, "Superb performance... he shows that rare talent of performing music as if creating it on the spot... Pianist Noel Benkman plays with an aplomb and fluidity that only years of experience may allow."   The Yosemite Conservancy described his performances at the Ahwanhee Hotel in Yosemite as, "It was magical - an intimate performance by a talented artist.”
